like to work with skilled professionals, Armour is presently seeking a **Director of Human**
**Resources** to join our growing team from our downtown Halifax location.

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel, the Director of Human Resources will be responsible
for overseeing the Human Resources operations of the organization and HR team; Hospitality
Human Resources Manager, Payroll Manager, Talent Acquisition Specialist, and Recruitment
Advisor.

**As Director of Human Resources, you’ll get to**:

- Monitoring legislative changes and recommending corresponding changes to corporate

policies.
- Understanding market drivers for recruitment and modifying strategic recruitment

programs accordingly (salary, education, ad placement, agency utilization).
- Provide guidance and training to supervisory staff on human resources best practices.
- Function as the primary resource for support and guidance on all human resources

matters within the organization, liaising with the legal team as appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in creating effective staffing planning, hiring

programs supporting career succession planning and identifying skills development
needs.
- Provide regular reporting to the executive team.

- Demonstrates leadership skills by embodying the company’s policies and procedures in

morale and engagement.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Undergraduate degree, certificate or diploma with a focus in human resources or a

related area.
- CPHR designation or advanced degree is considered an asset.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience within the field of HR.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective precise communicator with an enate ability to bring out the best in people.
- Exemplary understanding of and commitment to confidentiality.
- Prior experience in policy development, employee training, recruitment, succession

planning and performance management.
