The Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP) - West Program (OSP-West) aims to increase access to CBT for individuals struggling with mild to moderate depression, anxiety, and related conditions. The OSP-West Program is jointly operated by St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and St. Joseph’s Health Care London. The applicant will be employed by St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and will be expected to support the successful delivery of the OSP-West program across the entire Ontario West Region. The Psychologist will work within the OSP-West providing regular clinical consultation and training to therapists in the OSP-West program who are engaged in the provision of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and related conditions (including obsessive-compulsive concerns and post-traumatic stress). The Psychologist will participate in the provincial Community of Practice for OSP Clinical Consultants. The Psychologist will also deliver individual and group CBT and CPT to clients in the OSP-West program with higher levels of complexity as well as conduct structured diagnostic assessments for clients with higher levels of complexity to determine suitability for the OSP-West program or to provide service navigation. The Psychologist will also contribute to research activities within the regional and provincial OSP Program. This position is a hybrid role that provides an opportunity to work both virtually and on-site. On-site requirements will be determined based on the needs of the service and location of the applicant’s residence.-
**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- PHD in Psychology required
- Registration with College of Psychologists required
- Certification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy by CACBT (or eligible for certification) required
- Minimum 5 years previous experience in delivery of evidence-based CBT with documentation showing that they received formal CBT training and appropriate supervision. Additional training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) preferred.
- Demonstrated experience providing clinical supervision and/or consultation
- Demonstrated knowledge of Science and practice of psychotherapy, specifically CBT and CPT
- Demonstrated knowledge of the etiology and treatment of depressive and anxiety disorders, as well as OCD and PTSD.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ethical guidelines for the provision of effective clinical supervision/consultation
- Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic categories and criteria as listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5)
- Passionate about contributing to positive social change and commitment to anti-oppression and anti-racism.
- Demonstrated knowledge of emergency patient care procedures as taught in Emergency First Response, Crisis Intervention and fire procedures to promote coordinated and consistent practices in response to emergency events, i.e. Code Blue; Code White, Code Red.
- Provision of virtual and/or telephone CBT
- Experience providing structured diagnostic assessments (e.g., MINI, SCID, DART) for complex presentations
- Strong research skills and previous experience in conducting research
- Previous experience in program development and program evaluation
- Demonstrated knowledge of program and hospital policies and procedures in order to practice within the expected standards of the organization and to recognize abnormal events that may affect client care, activities, or safety and need to be reported to a manager, in order to provide a safe environment for client and staff.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant sections of legislation, e.g., Mental Health Act, Personal Health Information Protection Act, Regulated Health Professions Act, Health Care Consent Act, and professional standards to ensure compliance and consistency in provision of client care.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computer software to generate correspondence and input data for a variety of facility-wide tools e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, electronic health records.
- Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with provincial training leaders, regional therapists, consultants, partners, program managers, and directors.
