**Line/Banquet Cook**

**General Responsibilities**

The Line/Banquet Cook is responsible for assisting the Executive Sous Chef in the operation of the kitchen area in which they work. The main responsibilities of the Line/Banquet Cook are to prepare and cook the necessary food required to operate the area they work in as well as conduct scheduled cleaning tasks. When needed, the Line/Banquet Cook will also assist in some management duties such as food ordering and training. This person will report to and work closely with the Executive Sous Chef.

**Specific Responsibilities**

Prepare hot and cold food items as needed for their department
- Restaurant - includes line orders as well as
- Refreshment Centre
- Beverage Cart items
- Banquet Facility

Maintain the cleaning schedule set up by the Executive Sous Chef.

Work cooperatively and in a proactive manner with the Executive Sous Chef and Executive Chef/F&B Manager.

Responsible for daily and weekly food specials.

Provide leadership and expertise in kitchen operation.

Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all equipment, small wares pertaining to their department while on duty

Assume other related duties and tasks as assigned by the Executive Sous Chef, Executive Chef/F&B Manager

Assist the Executive Sous Chef train and supervise Prep Cooks and Dishwashers.

**Reporting**

The Line Cook is to report to the Executive Sous Chef and keep them fully informed and advised on all aspects of the back house operation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 44 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

- Cooking: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
