**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Duties**:

- This role leads the execution of UX design and UX research across BC Hydro’s wide range of
- products and services. Providing user-centered experience strategy, design concepts, and
- production-ready design assets to deliver a consistent and meaningful customer experience
- across our digital touch points.- Lead, coach, and develop UX designers (employees, contractors and agencies).
- Create user workflows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes that meet user needs effectively

and efficiently, utilizing best practices and UI innovation where appropriate.- Works to further integrate and improve UX between existing BC Hydro digital properties and

future assets.- Ensure smooth delivery of high-quality deliverables across multiple projects at any given time.
- Work cross functionally with teams, such as: Customer Service, CEM, IT, User Research, Brand

Creative, Analytics & Optimization, and Digital Operations to build UX strategies, designs, and
- ultimately end user experiences that align with business goals.- Develop and maintain overall UX design principles and standards for BC Hydro; manages and

maintains BC Hydro’s design system.- Works with Brand and Digital Experience manager to define BC Hydro’s brand representation

and standards in digital.- Lead design sprints and design reviews, remote user testing.
- Leverages Design Blueprints to capture customer experiences with dependent IT infrastructure
- and Backoffice functions.- Coordinate workshops to gather input from various team members and stakeholders.
- Uses data and user behaviour to drive design decisions and recommendations.
- Provide recommendations to inform workstream roadmap and plans.
- Create and deliver presentations for clients and senior manager.
- Develop relationships with design firms and independent contractors.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience designing end-to-end UX for mobile apps, mobile web and desktop.
- Demonstrated experience leading and coaching team members.
- Degree in user centric design, UX design, Interaction design or related field or equivalent

experience.- Demonstrated experience in building design systems; experience building service blueprints.
- Experience leading large-scale projects with a variety of stakeholders.
- Expertise across all facets of human-centered design and user experience, spanning UX

strategy, experience/interaction design, user research/assessment, prototyping, visual design and
- user adoption.- Demonstrated understanding of enterprise level analytics tools (i.e. Google Analytics) and

Content Management Systems (i.e. AEM).- Superior communication and compelling presentation skills to build and share inspiring visual

stories.- Experience translating user research, analytics and best practices into design decisions.
- Demonstrated skills in prototyping & design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, InVision,

Sketch, Figma (preferred) or equivalent tools.- Portfolio of work demonstrating competence in user centric design.
