Office Manager/bookkeeper

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to join our team. The Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our office, ensuring smooth functioning and efficient workflow. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a strong attention to detail.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work closely with the Management Team in an administrative support role
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and report generation
- Monitor, maintain and purchase office supplies and equipment
- File and organize documents, both physical and electronic
- Assist with training and development initiatives
- Onboard new employees, including benefits, payroll and hiring packages
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Administer the Group Benefits Plan
- Handle all WorkSafe matters
- Assist with creating and monitoring job postings for new hires
- Perform Bookkeeping tasks such as issuing invoices, and recording transactions in Sage 50
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors
- Other ad hoc tasks and projects as needed
**Skills**:
- Strong clerical skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Experience with Sage50 or other accounting software is a plus
- Knowledge of bookkeeping or basic accounting principles is an asset
- Knowledge of crossborder & export shipping requirements is an asset
- Organizational skills to maintain a well-functioning office environment

We offer competitive compensation based on experience and education.
This is a full-time, fully on site, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm role. Hybrid/remote work options are not available.
**Salary**: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
