The role of Server is to provide excellent dining service at all times by maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere, as well as maintaining the proper menu items and offering refreshments to all members in a timely manner.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Greet members as they enter their restaurant and take drink and food orders**
- Serve beverages and snacks to members in a timely manner while maintaining an attractive environment
- Answer questions about the menu, specials, and any questions that may arise
- Maintain the proper storage of all member items in the kitchen, bar, and dining room areas
- Work with other servers to ensure that all members are served in a courteous manner
- Cleaning of kitchen and bar areas as needed to maintain sanitary environment for other members in the restaurant.
- Assist with clearing tables when necessary. Remove trash from tables during weekly clean-up.
- Assist with opening and closing shift. Performing opening and closing tasks as instructed by the General Manager or Lead Cook.
- Assist with training, serving, cleaning, and closing shifts as required by the General Manager or Lead Cook.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to stand, bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist and turn for extended periods of time. Must have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division and multiplication skills. Must be able to speak clearly and communicate with management, other employees, guests, and members in a professional manner at all times. Must have great customer service skills at all times.**
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand up for extended periods of time (up to 10 hours). Must be able to bend down, lift up to 25 pounds in any direction (up to 15 hours). Must be able to reach behind your back while working on your feet (up to 10 hours). Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time (up to 30 hours). May require walking or standing for extended periods of time throughout the shift (up to 10 hours). May require lifting up to 25 pounds throughout the shift (up to 30 hours). May require twisting, turning and squatting throughout the entire shift (up to 30 hours).

**Salary**: $17.28-$18.03 per hour

Day range:

- Monday to Friday

Shift:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON K1S 3X4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
