**About the role**
- This role can be based in any Intact office location_

**What you’ll do here**:

- Handle referrals and consultations to support performance and underwriting
- Develop and update guidelines and authority statements
- Manage product development and product improvements and implementation
- Conduct governance best practices through volume analysis and performing audits
- Research and prepare portfolio reports
- Provide underwriting training, mentor colleagues and underwriters
- Collaborate with internal teams to explore new growth and profitability opportunities through technical research and relationship building
- Communicate changes related to product pricing, underwriting guidelines and new products
- Participate in technical committees, rate committees, project teams, etc.

**What you bring to the table**:

- Minimum 7 years of underwriting experience in large property and liability accounts, including multinational placements and complex reinsurance structures.
- Detailed knowledge of property and/or casualty products
- Highly organized, with the ability to work towards goals while adapting to change in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Effective analytical, negotiating and decision-making skills
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines, including organizational and time management skills
- University degree/college diploma preferred
- CIP or FCIP designation from the Insurance institute of Canada
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset. _Necessity to communicate with colleague located everywhere in Canada_.
- Willing to travel on occasion
