**About the Team**:
Primarily responsible for assessing the credit worthiness of Oil and Gas/Pipeline companies, as well as for writing press releases, rating reports, industry commentary and industry studies.

This role is based in Toronto.

**About the Role**
- Knowledge experience of commodity markets and in particular the forest products sector.
- Accounting background and an ability to analyze financial statements and complete financial projections.
- Experience with financial modelling and knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks without much supervision.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead analyst for the forest products sector at DBRS.
- Back up analyst to the lead analysts for O&G and Pipeline companies rated by DBRS.
- Present recommended credit rating actions at rating committees.
- Publish rating reports and press releases on the rating rationale for credit rating actions.
- Publish thought-leading commentaries on the forest products sector.

**Qualifications**
- 5-7 year experience in commodity markets and forest products sector, or applicant experience.
- Bachelor of Commerce, MBA and /or engineering degree.

**Nice to have**
- Work experience in the forest products sector.
