**Copy Editor**

We are currently accepting resumes for a Copy Editor to join the Communications Team. This is a full-time, temporary (12-month) contract position located in our Cambridge Member Centre.

**Job Summary**:
The Copy Editor works as a member of the Communications Team preparing a variety of material for print and online publication.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The essentials duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

- Copy, edit, fact check, and proof material for print and online publication
- Write headlines, captions, and articles as needed and directed
- Help manage the department’s projects
- Help coordinate publishing schedules and other administrative tasks as assigned
- Keep up-to-date on news and information about CLAC and current events

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in English

**Skills and Experience**:

- Strong copy editing and writing skills
- Extensive knowledge of grammar
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the Internet and social media
- Creative and attentive to detail
- Thorough knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office
- Willingness to participate in additional training and skills upgrading
- Familiarity with Adobe’s creative suite software
