**REFIT SAFETY COORDINATOR**

Richmond (Fleet Maintenance Unit)

Regular

As a Refit Safety Coordinator, you act as the Qualified Safety Professional/Practitioner responsible for safety activities related to multi-faceted vessel refit and major projects. You ensure company policies and applicable government regulations are adhered to; identify, correct, and report on non-compliance; conduct site orientation and training; and administer a Contractor Pre-qualification Program. In addition, you are an active member of the site Emergency Response Team and provide first aid services as required.

You work both independently and as a collaborative team member, utilizing effective problem-solving and time management skills. You are a clear, concise communicator, maintaining cooperative working relationships within a diverse industrial environment.

You have a degree, diploma, or certification in Occupational Health and Safety along with a minimum 3 years’ related experience and sound knowledge of associated provincial regulations (OH&S and WHMIS). A CRSP designation is considered an asset. You are available to work both day and evening shifts.
