Reporting to the Project Manager, the **Project Controls Lead** will be responsible for providing cost controls and scheduling support to the project's Operations team, to ensure that the company's project controls and scheduling systems are properly implemented and utilized. This project will be located in Burnaby.

**What You’ll Do Here**:

- Leads and oversees cost controls reporting, forecasting and reconciliation of project cost reporting for one project
- Works closely with the Operations team to develop and maintain the project construction schedule across the entire project life cycle
- Assist with the development of the work breakdown structure (WBS), interfacing with Operations and Finance departments as needed
- Create and implement key scheduling requirements such as coding, naming conventions, client requirements management protocol, project calendars and resource loading
- Work with the Operations team to establish progress and quantity tracking processes
- Analyze schedule variances, monitor schedule KPI’s and support resource planning and analysis
- Performs productivity analysis of construction operations and identifies opportunities for improvements
- Prepare required progress reports and dashboards to provide project status updates to the project team and external clients
- Collaborate with all cross functional teams to maintain, add, or modify the schedule data and plans

**What You Bring to the Team**:

- 5+ years planning and cost controls experience in Civil construction projects
- College or University degree in related field, or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of project planning and scheduling software (Primavera P6)
- Experience with SAP and Hard Dollar is considered an asset
- Proven experience and ability in planning, scheduling and managing complex projects
- Proven problem solver and a team player with sound judgment, who accepts ownership and accountability
- Interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

The expected salary for this position is $105,000 - $115,000.
