We are seeking highly driven and passionate engineering or planning students to join our team during Summer 2023.
**GM Blue**Plan** Engineering Limited** is a multi-discipline consulting engineering firm and a leader in the municipal water/wastewater environmental assessment and master planning industry in Ontario. Our focus continues to ensure that our clients receive high-quality, innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions for their civil engineering projects. Areas of specialty include infrastructure planning, asset management, detailed design and construction administration services associated with municipal infrastructure improvement and reconstruction projects. **Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to water/wastewater/stormwater infrastructure planning projects and analysis including master plans, intensification studies, infrastructure servicing studies, and Class Environmental Assessments
- Coordinate project tasks within larger infrastructure planning groups
- Fulfill various technical responsibilities based on your background and experience ranging from, stormwater servicing, water distribution and wastewater collection analysis, cost estimate development, and servicing strategy development and evaluation.
- Review and analyze federal, provincial, and municipal planning policies and legislation
- Project consultation and communication with internal and external stakeholders including governmental agencies, Indigenous Communities, and the public
- Support on key project deliverables including written reports, technical memos, client presentations, public events and materials, modelling outputs and GIS mapping deliverables
- Support project proposal development
**Experience**:
- Currently enrolled in an engineering or planning undergraduate or graduate program
- Interest in water, wastewater, and stormwater engineering and infrastructure planning
- Exposure to key provincial planning policies and legislation
- Exposure to Geographical Information Systems (GIS)
- Ability to effectively work both independently and in team environment
- Strong overall communication and organizational skills
- Ability to participate in multi-disciplinary project teams
- Use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
