Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide technical support on production equipment while training other employees on the best use of equipment.
- Seek actions to improve or update existing equipment, make recommendations on equipment to supervisor.
- Maintain all technical documentation related to its activities (i.e. Spare part list, PM schedule, Problem solving).
- Regularly perform system inspections to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Assist the supervisor on related critical part inventory.
- Train on the production equipment and share knowledge with the plant team.
- Provide technical support to upgrade equipment and parts.
- Familiarize, operate and understand all equipment that requires maintenance.
- Backup forklift driver.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Other related job duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, pneumatic & mechanical systems.
- Use of mechanical tools.
- Able to drive a forklift.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to lift 25kg as needed.
- Comfortable with bending, lifting, standing, crawling and laying while working.
- Able to work at heights with the proper use of PPE.
- WHMIS Training, violence & harassment training, fall arrest training, and forklift training will all be provided but previous experience an asset.
Education and Experience
- Educational and/or relevant industrial experience.
- Technical Diploma with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
- Physically and highly active role.
- Able to lift 25kg.
