**Nature de la fonction**

Le conseiller pédagogique collabore à la réalisation du projet éducatif et des projets particuliers des établissements ; participe à l’élaboration, la mise en oeuvre et l’évaluation de leur plan de réussite tout en respectant les encadrements éducatifs et administratifs, tant au niveau des établissements que de la commission scolaire.

**Tâches et responsabilités**
- Développera des approches/stratégies adaptatives, travaille individuellement avec l’élève pour lui permettre de réussir dans toutes les matières, en collaboration avec les enseignants, professionnels des autres services.
- Collaborera également à l’intégration d‘un élève ou plusieurs élèves avec des cas complexes de TSA et des problèmes de comportements graves dans le secteur régulier ou en classes fermées, au besoin, et veillera, lorsque possible, à leur progression académique et organisera des ateliers de perfectionnement professionnel à l'intention du personnel enseignant, administratif et professionnel.
- Informera les écoles du réseau de ressources en adaptation scolaire (en collaboration avec le réseau de la santé et des services sociaux) à leur disposition et facilitera l'intégration des élèves de l'adaptation scolaire à l'école de leur quartier.
- Assumera un rôle de leadership auprès de la direction de l’école, du personnel enseignant et des parents en ce qui a trait aux principes, procédures, rôles et responsabilités relatifs au plan d’intervention personnalisé (PIP).

**Exigences et qualifications**
- Baccalauréat en arts ainsi qu’un certificat, un diplôme ou un diplôme d’études supérieures dans le domaine de la TSA ou de l’adaptation scolaire
- Connaissance et expérience pertinente du milieu de l’enseignement (préférablement un minimum de cinq (5) années dans le domaine des cas complexes de TSA te des problèmes de comportements graves serait un atout)
- Excellentes compétences linguistiques, à l’oral et à l’écrit
- Personne dévouée et consciencieuse capable de travailler sous pression et avoir l'habileté de travailler efficacement, de façon autonome et en équipe
- Excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles, de communication, d'organisation, d'analyse et de résolution de conflits et de compétences en leadership

**Nature of the Work**

The education consultant participates in carrying out the educational project and the special projects of educational institutions; they participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of their success plan, while complying with the academic and administrative requirements of both the educational institutions and the school board.

**Tasks and responsibilities**
- Facilitates the integration of one or more students with complex cases of ASD with severe behavior difficulties into the regular sector or self-contained classes if need be and monitor, where possible, their academic progress and organize professional development workshops for the teaching, administrative and professional personnel.
- Communicates to schools the special education resource network (liaison with the Health and Social Services Sector) available and facilitates the integration of identified special education students within their community school.
- Assumes a leadership role with school administrators, teaching personnel and parents with respect to the principles, procedures, roles, and responsibilities regarding the individualized education plan (IEP).

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree as well as a certificate, diploma or graduate degree in the field of special education or in a related field
- Strong knowledge and relevant teaching experience (preferably a minimum of (5) years in the field of ASD complex cases and severe behaviour difficulties would be an asset)
- Ability to be a dedicated and conscientious individual who can function well under pressure as well as have the ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent language skills, both oral and written
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, conflict resolution and leadership skills

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

**Salary**: $27.08-$50.39 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
