We are looking for a couple, who are able to live on site, who can be responsible for managing Bear Creek's Night Shift and Gatehouse. We are looking for a team of two who can work together to help the Park Manager with the day-to-day operations. - **ASSISTANT MANAGER**_

(if applicable)

(Role, Duties, & Responsibilities)
- Reports directly to the Manager of the Park but also works as assistant to the Park Manager.
- Is assistant to manager in dealing with staffing issues, public relations, daily operations, revenue collections, park inspections, vehicle and equipment inspections, safety checks, and monitoring of minor repairs.
- As delegated by Park Manager, given authority to make decisions regarding the Operating Area.
- Assists in supervision of staff and ensuring that the assigned job duties are properly performed
- Ensures that BC Parks standards are maintained at all times, within their park.
- Ensures that WorkSafe & WHMIS protocol are adhered to at all times.
- Ensures that staff are knowledgeable of and abide by the Occupational Health and Safety Plan as provided by Kaloya Contracting Ltd.
- Ensures that all staff are knowledgeable of and abide by Kaloya Contracting Ltd. Policies and Procedures.
- Ensures that all staff are knowledgeable on the content of the Park Act and Park Act Regulations.
- Assists manager in the hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of staff within their park
- Takes times to properly train staff on how to correctly fill out different forms and reports.
- Responsible for ensuring all camping parties and 2nd vehicles have registered and paid appropriate fees.
- Designated in charge in the absence of Park Manager.
- Participates in management meetings as scheduled by the president or manager.
- Assists in checking staff’s daily reports, security reports, etc. for accuracy - any incomplete incorrectly filed out reports must be immediately taken up with the staff member and then monitored closely until performed correctly.
- Ensures that all vehicle logs are being properly utilized.
- Ensure that all staff correctly fill out their Time Cards and then initial verification of their hours worked.
- Keeps Park Manager fully informed of any problems/ incidents within the park or with staff members.
- Immediately notifies the Park Manager of any safety concerns and then taking the necessary precautions to rectify them.
- Ensures that staff are in full uniform at all times (uniforms to be clean).
- Performs staff appraisals of all staff within the park together with the manager.
- Involved in direct maintenance of park. Assessing regularly that all plumbing, irrigation, etc. are operating correctly. Involved in grounds upkeep.
- Financial responsibilities same as Park Manager’s (or as delegated by Park Manager).
- Shall possess valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Shall complete Criminal Record Check prior to commencement of work.
- **GATEHOUSE MANAGER**_

- Accountable to and must work in consultation with Park’s Manager in regards to all gatehouse procedures.
- Responsible for ensuring that all gatehouse procedures and protocols are implemented and followed correctly by other gatehouse or fee collection staff.
- Responsible for training, scheduling and supervising of all gatehouse staff & implementing Discover Camping Reservation System as per Protocols & Standards.
- Checks all staff’s daily revenue collections. Ensures monies and daily sales summary sheets balance with McBees.
- To keep accurate records of all other park sales (ie. firewood, other recreational)

**Job Type**: Seasonal

**Salary**: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (required)
