**In this role, you will**:

- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop a comprehensive sales funnel that implements centralized strategies, tools, and tactics optimizing each stage of the process.
- Drive growth in gross contributions by collaborating with the Marketing and Communications teams to focus on the acquisition, retention, and reacquisition of members.
- Provide strategic leadership in identifying and developing new sales opportunities aligned with key Health and Fitness priorities while evaluating existing initiatives and recommending improvements.
- Monitor member expectations and assess the impact of external competitors to enhance the YMCA’s effectiveness as a service provider.
- Support the execution of Health and Fitness initiatives, including online advertising, promotions, contests, and surveys, by evaluating requirements, determining scope, and creating comprehensive support plans.
- Lead the development of revenue budgets and provide regular updates on monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure financial goals are met.
- Assist center sales leads in establishing goals within the performance management cycle, including benchmarking practices to enhance team performance.
- Spearhead and facilitate training initiatives focused on enhancing sales skills, including the YMCA’s 7 Steps to Selling program.
- Leverage technology tools effectively to enhance and streamline YMCA sales processes.
- Offer comprehensive support to the sales and service leadership team, ensuring alignment and effectiveness across all initiatives.
- Create a positive team environment that boosts enthusiasm and support for new ideas.
- Participate in cross-functional business teams and communicate effectively across departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**You bring**:

- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated sales experience in not-for-profit, marketing, or strategy, along with experience in supervising staff.
- Strong consumer insights and extensive experience in business plan development.
- Proven ability to think strategically, design effective business cases, and assess the success of new initiatives.
- Proven track record of personal and team achievements with credible leadership.
- Innovative thinker actively seeking opportunities to enhance competitiveness.
- Able to deliver results under pressure while prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Exhibits strong organizational and project management skills, complemented by exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Demonstrates creative problem-solving and a proven capacity for driving innovation while aligning strategies with organizational goals.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, ActiveNet or other membership management systems, and analytical tools such as SPSS, Tableau, or SAS.
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with members, staff, and volunteers.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, paired with excellent presentation abilities and extensive experience in coordinating high-impact communications documents.
- Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion and equity including the ability to identify and address barriers, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and integrate equity into program design.
