Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

**Objective**:
As a Project Coordinator you will assist the Project Manager in the overall estimation, planning, coordination and administration of the construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, timely and on budget.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Maintain excellent communication with Foreman and Customers
- Create and maintain tracking mechanisms for Market volumes, job costs and safety stats
- Communicate areas of improvement to crews/subcontractors related to safety through site visits and inspections
- Maintain and enforcement of safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to Miller Policies and Procedures, local laws and the OHSA
- Assist with scheduling work and timely delivery of materials
- Understand project cost requirements and coding procedures
- Tracking daily work records, payable items, material usage and invoicing
- Review quality management system for compliance and or deviations and communicate to respective Manager
- You will work with Manager to supervise the daily activities of crews and equipment to complete projects safely and cost effectively while maintaining high quality and efficient use of resources

**Requirements**:

- Experience working in Heavy bid and JDE would be considered an asset
- Experience in the road construction industry, with emphasis on surface treatment, Slurry Seal & Micro Surfacing is preferred Class G license
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily combining attributes of knowledge, skill, and ability
- Knowledge of the Occupation Health and Safety Act and WHMIS
- Fluency in English is required from speaking, reading, and writing perspectives
- Advanced numeracy, mental calculation, and calculator skills are required
- Ability to take direction and act with little supervision
- Ability to analyze reports and data
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to make decisions in a timely and effective manner
- Use and manipulate Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Word documents
