**Donor Relations Coordinator**

The Oakville & Milton Humane Society (OMHS) is seeking a Donor Relations Coordinator to join our Development team. We’re looking for someone who loves conversing with people, enjoys working with databases and being part of a forward-thinking fundraising team.

The role requires someone with outstanding attention to detail, time management and organizational skills. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism are a must. The ability to work both independently and successfully in a team environment while building effective working relationships inside and outside the team is essential.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Enter donations into a database and generate timely acknowledgement letters and tax receipts
- Track and maintain positive relations with our monthly donors on a regular and ongoing basis
- Execute follow-up activities for _In Memory_ and _In Tribute_ donors
- Train and support volunteers
- Generate reports for finance, Delta Bingo, OMHS Lotteries, fundraising metrics and mailing lists
- Work with the Donor Relations Manager to prepare direct mail appeals and general correspondence
- Maintain the online donation system
- Provide administrative support to the Development Team as needed
- Assist with the implementation of internal audit processes to ensure accuracy of data and reporting
- Maintain confidentiality of all data in alignment with donor privacy preferences and OMHS policies
- High school diploma or higher education; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
- Two+ years work experience in an administrative/data entry role or customer relations field
- Experience with data entry
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail; ability to multi-task with good follow-up skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Positive and helpful attitude with superior customer service skills
- Experience working with volunteers and non-profits an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- An independent self-starter who works well with other team members
- A demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups of people
