We are actively looking to fill the following full-time role at our McCreedy West Mine located in Levack, Ontario.
- **Mine Technician - Posting ID # 002-2024 (1 Positions)**

**Scope of the Role**

The Mine Technician is an active and dynamic role within the Mine Engineering Department with a variety of duties and experience that contribute to effective mine design and engineering control.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**
- Perform underground survey technician tasks including but not limited to creating and issuing safety notices and surveying lines, grades, plugs and as built pick-ups using mine design software, issuing layouts, and performing bonus calculations.
- Perform Cavity Monitor Surveys.
- Maintain survey as-built drawings wireframe files.
- Perform ventilation technician tasks of auditing air volumes in the underground mine.
- Manage the underground ventilation system to support short and long-term production needs.
- Select fans as required, create designs for installation, and maintain records and inventory with respect to mine systems.
- Assist with implementing new technology on site to support ventilation and survey needs as required.
- Design infrastructure raises and service hole drill layouts, supplemental ground support layouts and packages, issue these layouts to contractors and/or operations department for execution.
- Support mine design proposals for new areas, liaising with mine engineering, geology, and mine operations teams regularly.
- Such other duties or special projects as may be assigned from time to time, including contract administration and company contact person’s role.

**Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge**
- Diploma in Mining Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering Technology or a degree in Mining Engineering.
- Minimum 1-2 years of related experience.
- Experience in the underground mining environment is an asset.
- Familiarity with mine planning software such as Deswik, MineCad, Mine 24D Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are required;
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
