Job description

**Scope**:
Prepare, arrange and serve breakfast food and beverage to guests in a friendly and professional manner following Best Western Quality Standards as well as London Middlesex Health and Safety Standards.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- set up and maintain restaurant for complimentary hot breakfast buffet
- prepares hot items for use on the breakfast buffet
- maintains proper inventory control and ensures that all items are ordered through the approved suppliers.
- serves, maintains, tidies, and cleans breakfast buffet during breakfast hours
- sets and resets tables as required
- ensure high standards by following Best Western service standards
- exceeds customer expectations by anticipating service needs
- organizes motions to maximize the efficiency of set-up and service
- ensures creativity of buffets and day-to-day customer special needs
- ensuring a safe work environment by following all work practices
- follows food safety and handling procedures and compliance regulations as outlined by hotel standards and federal, provincial, and local laws
- adhere to all hotel safety and security policies and procedures as outlined by hotel standards and federal, provincial, and local laws
- maintains superior standards of quality, service, and cleanliness in the restaurant, kitchen, and service area
- consistently maintains a neat, organized, and clean workspace and uniform
- demonstrates a commitment to provide the best possible experience for guests, ensuring superior personalized service

**performs other duties as assigned**

**Qualifications**:

- Safe Food Handling Certificate
- WHIMIS
- high school graduate or equivalent preferred
- strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
- knowledge of principles, values, and processes for providing superior guest service
- ability to project a professional, friendly and courteous image to guests
- ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented
- ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Required to work Tuesday and Wednesday 5:30am

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18-25 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$16.55 per hour

Schedule:

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Food & Beverage: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
