**SUMMARY**:
**JOB DESCRIPTION**:

- Adhere to Kalos Engineering Inc. company policies and drawing standards.
- Attend job sites and client meetings to take measurements and document existing building conditions.
- Manage Design/CAD projects and produce a wide range of design drawings and construction details to meet functional requirements and project design criteria.
- Development of construction contract documents for projects of varying scope; from schematic design through to construction administration with mínimal supervision.
- Create working drawings for all stages of project delivery including client approval, coordination with consultants/engineers tender submission, permit approval, construction, and as built (Post Construction).
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary consultants and team members during all phases of the project.
- Contract administration duties including municipal approval, shop drawing review, responding to RFI’s, site visits, field observations, reporting, etc.
- Work with Project Manager/ Project Engineer to communicate to clients and consultants in a clear and professional manner that is solution-focused.
- Meticulously compile required documentation and permits.
- Coordinate with Architects, Designers and Engineers on any required changes on a project.
- Maintain project and AutoCAD drawing files (hard copy and soft copy) to ensure the information remains up-to-date and is filed appropriately.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:

- Architectural Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, CADD - Computer Aided Drafting & Design or other Technical Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum - 5 years experience in structural design work assignments
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD version 2020 or later.
- Proficiency in using REVIT version 2020 or later.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret structural and architectural construction drawings plans and CAD drawings.
- Strong knowledge of the 2012 Ontario building code (especially Part 3) and Fire Code.
- Knowledgeable in ULC and CSA Standards is an asset.
- Familiar with construction materials and products.
- Experience with civil design and general software, including: Adobe Standard, Microsoft Applications (Word and Excel)
- Organized with the ability take direction from management and work collaboratively, while managing time, deliverables, budgets, and personnel.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Experienced to maintain excellent working relationships with clients, focused on solution-oriented problem solving skills.
- Ability to assemble construction documents, contract administration.
