**VCA Canada Bells Corners Animal Hospital** welcomes you to join us in our **Veterinary Reception, Client Care / Technician Assistant / Boarding** opportunity This is a full-time, multi-faceted associate position, for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this full-time opportunity, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated Some of the responsibilities include:

- To create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parents
- Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians with various tasks and treatment of pet patients
- Providing compassionate care duties including feeding and walking patients; kennel maintenace
- Technical skills should include knowledge of patient care and restraint, client care, and surgical assisting
- General housekeeping duties; cleanliness of reception, treatment and holding areas, and common areas.
- Enhance the client’s experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical team

- Strong communication skills and ability to work with a dynamic and diverse team
- Compassion and nurturing attitude when providing care to clients and patients
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations
- Positive outlook and enthusiasm for learning
- Initiative in carrying out assignments independently
- Previous veterinary education or certificate
- Availability for schedules which include evenings, weekends and holidays.
