**Manager of Systems Development**
Are you looking to take the next step in your management career, where your ability inspire and lead others will truly make a difference?
As **Manager of Systems Development** you will be responsible for directing a team of technical experts in enhancing and maintaining the systems we use to deliver services to our members. Continuous improvement that will provide the right solutions, will be a primary focus. You will also play an important role in a large, multi-year technology project currently underway at HEB Manitoba.

**Here’s the exciting journey**:
- In the first three months with us, you will:_
- Learn about HEB Manitoba and the services we provide to our members.
- Become familiar with our systems environment.
- Build relationships with your team, management peers and HEB Manitoba’s business users.
- Over the first year, your responsibilities will increase as you settle into your new role. You will:_
- Work with business leaders and managers to understand their priorities and align the systems development roadmap with business objectives.
- Lead your team in the timely delivery of software releases.
- Provide technical leadership to projects and major initiatives.
- Advance your department’s level of operational maturity by implementing industry-leading tools and processes.
- Work with other managers in the department to create annual resource plans and budgets aligned with business priorities.
- Support your team’s professional development.
**Your qualifications**:
- Education & Experience_
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a technical discipline (Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Business Information Technology).
- A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience related to the development and maintenance of software systems.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading software development teams, managing and coaching people.
- Experience with large, complex system implementation projects as well as supporting mission critical production environments.
- Proficiency in working with and managing the performance of software development vendors and partners.
- Other Competencies, Knowledge & Skills_
- Superior interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Analytical with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management and judgment skills.
- Strong understanding of programming concepts, database design and system architecture.
- Commitment to continuous learning.
