Gateway Mechanical has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst in Edmonton

Founded in 1968, Gateway Mechanical is a privately owned company that has established itself as a leader in the commercial and industrial refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning industry (HVACR). Attending to 40,000+ service calls per year, Gateway is the largest HVAC & Refrigeration service provider in Western Canada. Our model is comprised of local branch teams with fully qualified personnel representing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing/gas fitting, sheet metal and electrical trades. These teams are supported by centers of excellence including professional engineers and project managers which ensures Gateway’s full technical capability is available for every project and service call.

The Business Analyst is responsible assessing Gateway’s current processes to identify areas for improvement. Once improvement opportunities have been identified, the Business Analyst will work with stakeholder groups to map and document processes and create process training and mapping.

**Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate business processes, anticipate business process requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.
- Lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop optimization strategies;
- Perform requirements analysis;
- Perform user acceptance testing;
- Identify gaps in current company processes and provide solutions to align with business needs and requirements;
- Update, implement, and maintain business processes and procedures;
- Prioritize Continuous Improvement initiatives based on business needs and requirements;
- Create process mapping documents
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and users;
- Manage competing resources and priorities within the department;
- Monitor deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects; and
- Maintain the companies document library.

**Requirements**:

- At least 1 year of experience as a business analysis or a related field;
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills;
- An ability to manage stakeholder expectations, working closely with them to determine acceptable solutions;
- Excellent documentation and record management skills;
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills;
- Experience creating and developing detailed reports;
- Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills; and
- Knowledge of PowerBi and SQL is considered and asset; and
- Post secondary education in Business, Computer Science, or a related field is an asset.
