The Niverville Heritage Centre is a community based, leading provider of seniors housing solutions dedicated to enhancing the lives of our elderly community members. **Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for event execution in the Heritage Centre.
- Support Leadership team in planning and executive of internal events.
- Work collaboratively with event planning team which includes the Restaurant and Events Manager, Kitchen Manager and Food Services Manager to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Deliver events on time and within budget.
- Managing operational and administrative tasks to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Provides creative ideas for events to generate business including post event analysis, research and participates in strategic planning.
- Provide leadership, recruits, and mentors team members.
- Establish work schedules including routines and tasks lists for events.
- Actively recruit new business for event centre.
- In the absence of the Restaurant and Events Manager, supervises the events team.

Qualifications:

- A degree or certificate in a relevant field such as hospitality, food service or events management.
- Strong communication and marketing skills to promote and sell events to interested parties and sponsors.
- Minimum 1-year relevant experience in event planning.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Event management experience and proficiency in various events software planning.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to coordinate with different vendors and staff during events.
- Combination of relevant work experience and education will be considered.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and good time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Comfortable interacting with the public and seniors
