This position is an individual contributor role that reports directly to the Director, Content Marketing and Thought Leadership. As a member of the GB Content Marketing and Thought Leadership team, your goal will be to help significantly increase Manulife GB’s thought leadership influence in the Canadian marketplace in the near term and grow that influence exponentially going forward.

This individual will help the team develop and execute a holistic content marketing strategy that fully leverages data, partnerships, and a multichannel approach through earned, owned, and paid media to deliver best-in-class thought leadership.

Success will come by bringing an entrepreneurial, “think big” mindset to the role. You will drive fresh thinking and demonstrate a passion for uncovering new health outcomes-focused insights from data to cement the ROI for clients.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Continuously lead the development and writing of compelling content that demonstrates and enhances Manulife’s brand credibility in the healthcare space, in collaboration with team members, and business and marketing partners.
- Work with fellow team members to develop a flexible content marketing/thought leadership strategy, that leverages internal expertise in media-buying, SEO, social media, research and insights, HCD, Agile methodology, etc.
- Possess a proactive and visionary nature, strategizing long-term objectives and goals of the team.
- Work with External Communications to develop frequent earned media opportunities that generate significant industry and public interest, leveraging data from internal and external partners.
- Work to create an industry-leading experience for audiences exploring our owned media, including new and engaging web design and social media channels.
- Support ongoing and effective measurement of the effectiveness of the content strategy, including reporting on metrics for media, awareness, share-of-voice as well as key NPS drivers
- Find new and innovative ways to support the GB Marketing Team when capacity/skills allow
- Identify and implement continuous improvement solutions
- Assist with ad hoc team projects within GB Marketing and beyond
- Other duties, as assigned

**Job Requirements**:

- 7+ years of working experience in marketing, communications, journalism, or related fields
- 7+ years of writing experience (samples will be requested)
- Demonstrates collaboration and influencing abilities - as well as informal leadership skills
- SEO, social media, Salesforce, MarTech, and health-and-wellness experience highly desired
- Bilingual ideal but not required
- University or college education with marketing, journalism, or communications focus - or equivalent work experience

**Salary & Benefits**

The annual base salary for this role in the primary location of Waterloo, Ontario is expected to be between $77,250.00 CAD - $139,050.
