**Summary**
Reporting to the Manager - Facilities, the CAD Technician (Summer Student) is responsible for reviewing and updating the electrical and/or mechanical designs of our manufacturing facility.

**Work Arrangement**: Hybrid; 4 days WFO and 1 day WFH.

**Work Location**:90 Belfield, Etobicoke M9W 1G4

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Review and update plant layout documents/drawings using AutoCAD
- Ensure that all drawings are in accordance with S&C’s design standards
- Ensure backup of all CAD designs
- Perform data entry to set up and maintain parts storage in our facilities software system
- Assist the Project Coordinator and ensure that capital budget projects are following project timelines
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for S&C’s drawing process
- Other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- In a diploma or degree engineering program (mechanical, manufacturing or Industrial)
- Completed coursework and knowledge of using AutoCAD
- Positive, flexible team‐oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Self‐motivated with the ability to take initiative
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, resourceful
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
