The incumbent arranges or directly provides the out of classroom learning supports and accommodations for students, particularly dual credit students, continuing education or evening students (but not limited to these constituents) and provides a wide variety of unique and highly individualized accommodation. S/he provides the specific accommodation of assistive testing for midterms and exams. Position provides assistive computer support services to assist students. In a collaborative approach with Student Services team members, works with faculty and staff regarding implementation of accommodations for accommodated and make-up testing. Additionally, the incumbent will gather information for government reports and proposals and will assist with tracking statistics for the centre’s activity (i.e. BSWD, Interpreter, AFSD/SAWD, Aboriginal, Summer Transition, etc.). This position provides support to services housed in the Centre (i.e.: Counselling, Disability Services, Testing, Director, etc.) by performing general office duties. Position is responsible for record management and confidentiality of client files, books appointments, relays calls, and provides factual information in response to inquiries. Decides on own initiative and judgement, the nature and urgency of all queries, screening which matters need to be directed to a counsellor, Director or other departments.

**CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Co-ordination of accommodations for students with disabilities - 80%**
- Reinforces adaptive technology hardware or software to students (e.g. Kurzweil, Text help, zoom text, Dragon, etc.) use in the testing lab environment and provides feedback to Assistive Technologist and Learning Strategist. Maintains an up-to-date inventory of all equipment, including a record of all equipment belonging to testing lab. Applies encumbrances to student accounts for outstanding testing fees. The incumbent prepares out of classroom accommodations through various technologies and supports, arranging with modification of desks/arranging physical resources for wheelchair accessibility. Provides information to students with regard to available services on campus.

**Student Services Support Responsibilities - 15%**
- Works as back up for the Student Services including secretarial support (front desk) and admission testing/ external (proctoring). Records/enters data re: client service in clockwork database; produces statistical reports as requested, maintains central client files. Liaise with Dual Credit office, Continuing Education department, students, peer tutors, faculty, and administration and outside personnel to answer questions and assist as required regarding Student Services. Assisting with the coordination of appointments of students/staff, meeting required deadlines/timelines; assisting with Ministry reports and documentation such as BSWD, AFSD/SAWD, PEFAL/aboriginal, interpreter, summer transition-data collection and preparation; and other Special Projects (such as First Generation)-assisting with correspondence internally/externally and coordination of events related to the project.

- Logs test appointments, receives and processes tests from instructors via hard copy or electronically. Prepares tests in alternate format. Prepares and processes accommodation plans to students.
- Performs liaison duties as required with individuals/groups internal and external to the College regarding Student Services.
