**The challenge**:
The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Technician will ensure that all CEGEN/SEED’s products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability, aligning with both industry guidelines and client expectations. This effort involves implementing and maintaining robust quality management systems, overseeing testing and inspection processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
**What you'll do**:
- Maintain the company's quality assurance system/guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements; regularly review and update quality policies, procedures, and standards
- Oversee and coordinate the inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet design and quality specifications, ensuring that all products comply with applicable CEGEN/SEED standards and industry guidelines
- Investigate and resolve quality issues and non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions to address root causes of quality problems
- Identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process to enhance product quality and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with the project management team regarding inspection test plans (ITPs) and signoffs
- Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, and other departments to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process
- Engage in daily touchpoints with manufacturing shop leadership
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior leadership
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality control activities, test results, and corrective actions; ensure proper documentation of all quality-related processes and procedures
- Evaluate and approve suppliers based on their quality systems and performance, conducting regular audits and assessments of suppliers to ensure consistent quality of incoming materials
- Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Address quality-related inquiries from clients, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure client satisfaction and resolving quality issues promptly
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization, ensuring that every team member understands and adheres to quality standards and procedures
- Provide training and support to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices

**What you'll have**:
- Post-secondary education in a related field such as engineering, manufacturing, or quality assurance is an asset
- At least 3 years of QA/QC experience in the manufacturing industry (preferably steel)
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance systems and guidelines
- Six Sigma training is an asset
- Strong skill in tracking and reporting
- Passion for fostering a strong quality culture
- Experience supervising a team is an asset
- Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and technical drawings
- Skilled and experienced in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally interact with all stakeholders
- Refined problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities to identify and address obstacles and challenges that may arise, proactively seeking solutions and implementing strategies to overcome them
- Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively
- Organized with the propensity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating timelines and frequent interruptions
- Effective time management techniques with keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and actions needed
- Self-motivated and conscientious nature with the proven ability to lead, take initiative, and work independently

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.33-$29.78 per hour
Expected hours: 42 per week
