**We are seeking Security guards for some positions at data centres across the GTA. We are looking for individuals with a high level of customer service and security experience. Priority to those with a strong customer service background.**

**Position Overview**:
**Wages: $25.00/hr**

**Shifts**:Morning, Afternoons (Monday to Friday)**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform access control provision duties, verify visitors coming on-site.
- Screen client employees and contractors with handheld wand metal detection devices.
- Ask individuals a series of questions to screen for prohibited items.
- Provide outstanding customer service to client employees and contractors.
- Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
- Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
- Be able to work under pressure in a changing environment.
- Understand the importance of personnel screening and escalate to supervisor when necessary.
- Be able to sit for long periods of time in an isolated area.
- 3 years of security experience or 5 years of customer service experience with direct customer facing experience.
- Eligibility for reliability clearances required for data centre positions.

**Other Information**:

- No cell phones, recording devices or any other electronic devices are allowed while security guard is on post.
