**What can I expect to do in this role?**:

- Plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of current programs, ensuring standards are met with updates recommended
- Maintain, update and ensure availability/accessibility of current and accurate program information
- Indirectly supervise staff resources in relation to programs to ensure programming needs are met
- Maintain effective liaison with inmate's families, groups/agencies, probation and parole
- Monitor and review contracted programs/services or volunteer programs
- Develop department operational plans and perform contract management, budget and program operational responsibilities as requested
- Assist with program evaluations, compliance reviews and program quality measurement

**How do I qualify?**:
**Specialized Knowledge and Skills**:

- You have knowledge of behavioural and social sciences theories and practices as well as correctional techniques in relation to inmate programs
- You can effectively plan, coordinate and implement rehabilitative programs and placement

**Program Management and Administrative Skills**:

- You have expertise in program planning, development, implementation and evaluation
- You can ensure quality and effectiveness of programs, in compliance with standards
- You have administrative skills in budgeting, contract management and service delivery
- You can organize, direct and coordinate human and financial resources for programs in support of operational plans

**Communication and Interpersonal Skills**:

- You have demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to communicate both orally and in writing
- You have ability to supervise administrative staff and effectively liaise with other staff, inmate families, community groups, agencies and service providers
- You can coordinate resources to ensure inmates' needs are met
- You can provide sound advice and guidance regarding management and provision of institution and community based services for inmates
