Rosedale Transport Mississauga requires an evening Account Payable Supervisor.

**Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 4:30**

**Bonus Program**

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and co-ordinate the functions of the Accounts Payable department.
- Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and/ or reports and other administrative duties of the Accounts Payable department including account reconciliations.
- Analyze Accounts Payable operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Professionally interact with company auditors, tax auditors and tax recovery specialists as required.
- Adhere to and enforce the policies and procedures for the Accounts Payable department.
- Update training materials and departmental procedures as needed.
- Provide trouble shooting support to all AP personnel.
- Plan and conduct meetings with AP staff to ensure compliance with established practices.
- Update AP staff with new policies, changes and current standards.
- Ensure an accurate understanding of company policies in relation to allowances, expenses and direct payments.
- Plan the department's workload and flow.
- Answer queries and complaints from vendors with respect to payment status and diffuse any potential issues.
- Review and investigate invoices and communicate errors to relevant parties and departments.
- Investigate and resolve any tax issues with respect to purchase orders and invoices.
- Maintain communication with the IT department regarding any system/ program issues and problems.
- Recruit, select and train AP department personnel.
- Other duties shall be assigned as required.

**Qualifications/ Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years direct experience in an A/P capacity complimented with Interline Payables.
- Capable of effectively managing direct reports.
- Transportation experience and/or with Truckmate software is considered an asset.
- Sound knowledge of Accounting, Accounting systems and internal controls
- QuickBooks knowledge and experience an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
- Current knowledge of accounting systems and technology. Able to make recommendations for improvement.
- Able to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing), strong customer relation skills.
- Skilled in calculating, analyzing and presenting numerical data in tables, spreadsheets and forms.
- Effective attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, organization, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Self-starter and good team player
