This is an afternoon position, working Sunday - Thursday and some Fridays.

**General Purpose**

The Dock Coordinator (Material Handler) is responsible for ensuring an efficient flow of materials through the dock and yard. All activities are to be in accordance with all government, security, and safety regulations.

**Prerequisites**
- Minimum 5 years forklift experience
- Valid forklift certificate
- Intermediate computer skills
- No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted

- Independent time-management abilities

**Operational Responsibilities**
- The safe and efficient loading/unloading of trailers in a timely fashion.
- The ability to operate a shunt truck in a safe manner.
- A proactive approach to scheduling and planning of material flow
- Ensuring all C-TPAT requirements are met pertaining to dock duties.
- Proper maintenance and record keeping of all dock doors, plates, and material handling equipment.
- Supporting the logistics team to meet the needs of our clients.
- Organization, filing and data entry of all required paperwork for proper flow of information.
- The cleanliness and organization of the dock area
- Ensuring the dock area is secured in accordance with all C-TPAT requirements.
- Enforcing safety requirements within the dock area
- Professional and courteous conduct at all times representing the company at the highest standard.
- To ensure that all policies and procedures are supported consistently to meet ISO Standards
- All other relevant duties as required or that may arise as the corporation evolves

**Salary**: From $23.10 per hour

- St. Thomas, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
- Forklift: 3 years (preferred)
