**Mandate**

Reporting to the Vice-President of Operations, the role of the Planning and Operational Support Supervisor is to organize and direct the work of the Zone Planners and Equipment control technician. Working in conjunction with the terminal managers, work to optimize the productivity of each fleet by controlling empty mileage, 24-hour trip assignments and load balancing. Here is an overview of the responsibilities that the person will fulfill:
**Responsibilities**
- Supervise and assist Zone Planners in the execution of their tasks to maximize the profitability of the fleet.
- Prepare daily meetings with leadership team to ensure proper network balance.
- Ensure updates are done on a daily basis to track trailers’ statuses and track positions using the AS400 system and Spireon website.
- Maximize efficiency and productivity by matching best loads with drivers.
- Calculate hours of service to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure good interdepartmental communication.
- Follow up with Zone Planners to maximize the use of our trailers and minimize empty miles.

**Assets**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 5 years experience in a trucking company.
- 2 years in personnel management.
- English/French bilingual (read/spoken/written).
- Geographical knowledge of Canada and the United States.
- Good knowledge of AS400 system and PC Miller.

Computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).

**Mandat**

Le superviseur à la planification et au support opérationnel a comme rôle d’organiser et de diriger le travail des planificateurs de zones et des techniciens au support opérationnel. En travaillant conjointement avec les directeurs de terminaux, il doit optimiser la productivité de chacune des flottes en maitrisant le millage à vide, les assignations de nos voyages 24 heures à l’avance et le balancement de nos lignes. Voici un aperçu des responsabilités que cette personne devra assumer:
**Responsabilités**
- Superviser et aider les planificateurs de zone dans l'exécution de leurs tâches afin de maximiser la rentabilité de la flotte.
- Préparer les réunions quotidiennes avec l'équipe de direction pour assurer un bon équilibre du réseau.
- S'assurer que les mises à jour sont effectuées quotidiennement pour suivre le statut des remorques et leurs positions à l'aide du système AS400 et du site Web Spireon.
- Maximiser l'efficacité et la productivité en faisant correspondre les meilleurs chargements aux conducteurs.
- Calculer les heures de service pour assurer la livraison des marchandises en respectant les échéances.
- Assurer une bonne communication interdépartementale.
- Assurer le suivi avec les planificateurs de zone pour maximiser l'utilisation de nos remorques et minimiser les kilomètres à vide.
