Galt Display Rack (Galt) is seeking a General Manager to build upon the company’s strong foundation and long track record of success.

Galt is a leader in specialized retail racking and supplies many of the leading home goods and flooring retailers throughout North America. Galt has operated out of Cambridge since 1945 and has a reputation for innovation, high quality and always delivering on time. The business has a strong culture with an excellent group of dedicated team members committed to its long-term success. We are seeking a leader who can work well with our existing team to help take the business to new heights by leveraging the strong foundation built up over many decades of hard work and focus on the customer.

This individual would be responsible for:
1. Growing the business
- Providing excellent service to existing customers.
- Proactively identifying and pursuing new opportunities. This includes customer outreach, estimating, and marketing, among other business development activities.
- Developing new products that leverage the company’s expertise within existing and new markets.

2. Providing overall leadership and general management
- Ensure the strong & positive culture centered around trust, delivering quality and efficiency continues.
- Galt aims to be the employer of choice for good people who know how to get the job done. A leader who is both effective and great to work with is a must.

3. Strategic planning & financial oversight
- Thinking ahead on how the business succeeds not only today, but well into the future and can plan & act accordingly.
- **Be the right cultural fit** - _The team needs to be excited to work with you. We are very much looking for someone who would be described as friendly, positive, collaborative, honest and driven._
- **Be action oriented** - _We want someone who is a self-starter with a bias to action._
- **Have strong communication and ability to sell** - _This person will need to be commercially oriented and be excellent at connecting with customers of all types. A meaningful portion of their time will be dedicated to servicing customers and seeking out new business opportunities._
- **Have a strong business sense and foundation** - _This includes the ability to understand financial statements, budgeting and making business decisions based on thoughtful analysis._
- **Technically inclined** - _This person must be experienced in using standard business software (i.e. Microsoft Office) and mechanically/technically inclined. Experience using AutoCAD or an engineering background is a further asset._
- **Have demonstrated success in prior roles **- _We are seeking an individual who has demonstrated success in leading a team in addition to having built or accomplished something impressive in their career to date._

- This is an onsite position in Cambridge
- Select travel will be required.
