Greater Sudbury, Canada Richer's Bookkeeping & Tax Services Inc. Full time

**Duties**:

- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
- Calculate fixed assets & depreciation
- Keep financial records and establish, maintain, & balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems such as Sage and QuickBooks Online
- Maintain general ledgers & financial statements
- Post journal entries
- Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
- Prepare trial balance of books
- Reconcile bank & credit card accounts
- Prepare tax returns
- Drive to meet clients to pick-up/drop-off paperwork or to work on-site as required
- Provide administrative support & assistance to the Company Owner
- Greet clients, answer phones and make calls as directed
- File and prepare documents
- Maintain and update client files
- Schedule appointments and other client relations
- Other duties as required

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle
- Must be willing to work towards becoming a Certified Bookkeeper with the CPB of Canada, with employers help
- Must be proficient with computer software such as Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook and be comfortable using office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, fax machines, etc.
- Experience and/or training using accounting software such as Sage 50 and QuickBooks Online

**Hours of work**:

- Monday-Friday (8-hour days) however some overtime, evenings and weekends may be required during peak seasons (tax season) and based on operational demands

**Contract term**:

- 12-month contract with the possibility of full-time employment at the end of the contract term

**Work conditions and physical capabilities**:

- Indoor, office environment with mild physical demands, extended periods of sitting at a desk using a computer
- Some driving is required to client locations
- Repetitive tasks
