**Positions**: Teachers for On-Line & On-Site Secondary School for the following senior level courses: English and ESL qualifications.

**Employer Description**:New Renaissance Academy is an Ontario Secondary Private School located in the City of Vaughan, Greater Toronto Area, offering credits toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.

The school consists of three major divisions: New Renaissance Academy on-site division, 9500 Dufferin Street, Vaughan, Ontario; New Renaissance Academy on-line division; and New Renaissance Academy English Language Institute.

New Renaissance Academy is committed to preparing students to enter Business, Engineering and Technology faculties at Canada’s major universities. The student body will be a mixture of Canadian and International students.

**Description of Positions**:Teacher of New Renaissance Academy’s On-Line Division and/or On-Site**

Reporting to the Principal of New Renaissance Academy, the teacher will be excited to be on the ground floor in developing the best secondary school in the province. The teacher will be expected to be part of a team developing the focus and direction of the school from its initial stages.

Besides teaching on-line and/or on-site, the teacher will have the opportunity of working towards becoming part of the leadership team.

**Please note**, since you might be teaching students in a different time zone (China), your reaching hours will have to reflect this.

**Qualifications**:

- **_MUST BE AN ONTARIO CERTIFIED TEACHER_**, qualified in English and ESL.
- Must be a member in good standing with Ontario College of Teachers.

**Education**:

- Bachelor of Education qualifications in Senior English and ESL.
- University Degree.

**Experience**
- Minimum 4-years’ experience in teaching Senior English and/or ESL.
- Extensive familiarity with Windows and Moodle operating systems.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with a customer service focus.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

- Must be able to secure a positive Vulnerable Sector Screening (Criminal Check).

**Salary**: From $50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vaughan, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
