**Job Title: Supervised Visitation Monitor**

**Location**: Vancouver, BC

**Overview**: We are seeking a compassionate and diligent individual to fill the role of Supervised Visitation Monitor. This position involves overseeing and facilitating supervised visits between children and non-custodial parents or other designated individuals in a safe and supportive environment. The goal is to ensure the well-being and security of all participants during these interactions.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Monitor Visits**: Observe and supervise visits between children and designated individuals in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
- **Ensure Safety**: Maintain a safe and secure environment during visitation sessions, intervening if necessary to ensure the safety and welfare of participants.
- **Document Observations**: Record detailed observations of interactions and behaviors exhibited during visits, noting any concerns or incidents that may arise.
- **Facilitate Communication**: Foster positive communication and interactions between participants, encouraging respectful and appropriate behavior.
- **Report Writing**: Prepare accurate and thorough reports summarizing each visitation session, including observations, incidents, and participant interactions.
- **Maintain Confidentiality**: Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
- **Collaborate with Agencies**: Coordinate with social workers, case managers, and other professionals involved in the case to ensure compliance with court orders and case plans.
- **Attend Training**: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to supervised visitation practices.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in social services, child welfare, or related field is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills and ability to remain neutral and objective in sensitive situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Understanding of child development and family dynamics.
- Ability to handle stressful and emotionally charged situations with professionalism and sensitivity.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

**Additional Information**:

- This position may require travel to different visitation locations within the designated area.
- Background checks and references may be required as part of the hiring process.
- Salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $26.50 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 15 per week
