Adult English as a Second Language - Night - LTO - CLB 1 & 2
The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board is recruiting an adult ESL and LINC night instructor to teach in a non-credit ESL and LINC class at our Sir Isaac Brock site in a long term occasional assignment.
**Summary**:
**Base Wage**: $36.90 or according to the OSSTF ESL Collective Agreement
**Qualifications**:
Current TESL Ontario Certification (OCELT) is required.
Completion of CLB Bootcamp and Introduction to PBLA from the Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks (recommended within 6 months of hire into casual pool and required for hire into a permanent day or night position)
Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively with teaching colleagues, administrative staff, and the management team
Excellent practice and knowledge in the principles of adult learning
Demonstrated experience using Learning Management Systems
Demonstrated experience using technology as a teaching and learning tool
Excellent communication and cross-cultural skills
