**Vice President, Head of Investment Strategy**

**Job Summary**

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Communicate investment strategies as they relate primarily to the Canadian market to internal/external clients via presentations and media interviews;
- Produce written strategy reports for both internal/external clients on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, as well as develop and maintain macro-economic models and forecasting tools to support your recommendations;
- Develop strong relationships with our advisory channel, demonstrate a high level of customer service, and respond to requests for specific information about broad markets trends and strategies;
- Work with team members to ensure publications, products and portfolio positioning reflects the broad strategy communicated to the advisory channel;
- Chair RJL’s asset allocation committee and communicate recommendations;
- Develop internal relationships and liaise with Equity Capital Markets; and
- Other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
**Knowledge of**
- Financial terminology, the private client environment and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in an understandable way;
- Canadian and US equity and fixed income markets;
- International capital markets, economic concepts and relationships among various markets; and

**Skill in**

**Ability to**
- Effectively communicate both written and verbally; and
- Distil difficult concepts into easily understood language.

**Education and Experience**
- Post-secondary education (e.g. undergraduate degree, MBA) and relevant industry (e.g. CSI, CFA) designations;
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in research/strategy and/or capital markets setting; and
- Fluency in French is a definite asset.
