ABOUT UHKF:
UHKF is the charitable organization focused on raising awareness and philanthropic support for equipment, modernized infrastructure, and healthcare innovations for Kingston Health Sciences Centre, the largest acute care academic health sciences centre in Southeastern Ontario, and Providence Care, southeastern Ontario’s leading provider of specialized care in aging, mental health, and rehabilitation. With a bold strategic plan and mission to inspire, UHKF plays an integral role in raising the funds necessary to ensure our healthcare partners can deliver innovative developments in health care for the next century.

Reporting to the Director, Healthcare Engagement and Sustainability, the Associate oversees all aspects of the Foundations Memorial and Tribute program, assists the Senior Development Officer Donor Relations and assists the Senior Development Officer Direct Response Fundraising.

Within this role, the Associate, Healthcare Engagement and Sustainability is accountable for contributing to the delivery of the UHKF strategic plan, and from time to time, the position may be required to support other areas of the Healthcare Organization’s mandate.

YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FOUNDATION WILL INCLUDE:
Program Administration:

- Oversight of Memorial and Tribute Program including but not limited to: funeral director engagement, coordinate memorial event, tracking and recording of donor obituary information
- Provide logístical support to donor relations events including, but not limited to, coordinating welcome packages and thank-a-thon
- Liaison with suppliers
- Maintain donor solicitation codes and mailer information in Razor’s Edge
- Source and maintain donor stories for newsletter and annual reports
- Assist in donor wall updates
- Administrative support for team meetings
- General Office support

NOTE - The above duties are representative but not all-inclusive.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- College diploma or undergraduate degree (preferred)
- Experience working in a fundraising environment in a paid or volunteer capacity.
- Excellent administrative and time management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Experience working directly with volunteers and/or external partners.
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing work environment.
- Optimistic and enthusiastic spirit that thrives when working in a team environment.
- Occasional evening and weekend work required.
- Satisfactory Criminal Records and Vulnerable Sector checks.
- Proof of required vaccinations
