Join our team as a Community Support Worker working at our day services program located in Ladner.
This full-time role works Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 3:30 PM) at a salary range between $25.05 - 28.75
per hour. This is a temporary (3 months or upon return of incumbent) position with the possibility of extension.
This temporary position and any extension of the position may be terminated at any time given two weeks’
notice.

About the Opportunity
As a full-time Community Support Worker, you will work 35 hours per week at our community inclusion site in
Ladner. You will be actively engaging supported individuals to live a fulfilling and independent life. You are a
motivated and personable individual with a passion to deliver person-centered supports. This means you could
be helping an individual to discover more of their community, learn new life-skills such as cooking, physical
fitness activities, art classes, or seeking employment. You assist with their physical, social, emotional,
educational and recreational needs. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

- Following an individual care plan,
- Developing monthly plans and facilitating activities based on client’s interests,
- Documenting activities and observations in the client’s file and communication log,
- Physically assist individuals with activities including swimming, walking, delivering newspapers,
- gardening and dancing.- Must be physically healthy to aid in lifting and transferring of persons served and be able to provide
- personal care including hygiene and toileting.- This position requires union membership.

**Qualifications**:

- Emergency First Aid & CPR
- FOODSAFE Level 1
- Unrestricted Class 4 driver’s license
- Practical experience working with developmental and physical disabilities
- Post-secondary education in related field preferred
