Join our team as a Community Support Worker working at our day services program located in Ladner.
This full-time role works Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 3:30 PM) at a salary range between $
per hour. This is a temporary position for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. This temporary position
and any extension of the position may be terminated at any time given two weeks' notice.

- determination.

About the Opportunity
As a full-time Community Support Worker, you will work 35 hours per week at our community inclusion site in
Ladner. You will be actively engaging supported individuals to live a fulfilling and independent life. You are a
motivated and personable individual with a passion to deliver person-centered supports. This means you could
be helping an individual to discover more of their community, learn new life-skills such as cooking, physical
fitness activities, art classes, or seeking employment. You assist with their physical, social, emotional,
educational and recreational needs.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Following an individual care plan,
  • Developing monthly plans and facilitating activities based on client's interests,
  • Documenting activities and observations in the client's file and communication log,
  • Physically assist individuals with activities including swimming, walking, delivering newspapers,

- gardening and dancing.
  • Must be physically healthy to aid in lifting and transferring of persons served and be able to provide
- personal care including hygiene and toileting.
  • This position requires union membership.

Qualifications:

  • Emergency First Aid & CPR


 FOODSAFE Level
  • Unrestricted Class 4 driver's license
  • Practical experience working with developmental and physical disabilities
  • Postsecondary education in related field preferred
