Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Systems and working closely with our Client Support Specialist, the Business Systems Analyst is the point of contact for help, support and information related to the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). This pivotal role is responsible for delivering exceptional client support and meeting service standards for HRIS users across the City.

- Perform system admin tasks such as account maintenance (upgrades, patches, break/fix), role and permissions updates, password resets, etc.
- Lead ongoing reviews and consultations with stakeholders, to review business processes and develop in-scope optimization strategies
- Provide user support to our clients and internal employees, and troubleshoot technical and data entry issues that arise
- In support of the work done by our Client Support Specialist, focus on advanced requests and incidents, requiring a deeper level of knowledge
- Lead implementing maintenance upgrades/patches
- Lead activities for estimating work effort and scoping for update/enhancement requests
- Consult with stakeholders to identify business problems
- Perform and document results of unit/integration/smoke testing
- Oversee and document results from user acceptance testing
- Other requests as required

**Qualifications**:

- University degree or diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Technology (CST) or a related field, with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in a Business Systems Analyst role or equivalent, is required. Education and experience equivalencies may be considered
- Experience in working with XML (Extensible Markup Language) is an asset
- Experience in working with HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is an asset
- Advanced computer proficiency and experience using Human Capital Management systems (HCM), Oracle products (Taleo and PeopleSoft, Oracle Business Intelligence), OpenText Learnflex Learning Management or equivalent HRIS systems would be an asset
- Experience supporting vendor developed solutions and liaising with vendor resources
- Well developed analytical and organizational skills, with strong problem solving capabilities and a good understanding of business processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, along with exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, are required
- Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines while effectively prioritizing and allocating time
- A collaborative team player with strong leadership skills

**_ Up to 1 temporary full-time position for up to 11 months_**

**Hours of Work**: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

**Salary**: $43.325 - $54.743 (Hourly)
