Multi Design Graphics Inc. is currently looking for a full-time I-Cutter Operator to support our print production team at our Mississauga shop for a long-term opportunity.

Founded in 1984, MDG Inc. specializes in printing and manufacturing services. With more than two decades of experience successfully serving customers, **MDG Inc.** does it all printing, finishing fabricating and installation.

**Responsibilities**

The digital cutter Operator will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our large format cutting machines and the quality of the final products they produce.

**Duties**
- Load sheets and rolls of printed material
- Ensure that each job is set up correctly as per the job docket provided
- Set up, operate, supervise throughout equipment operation, as well as troubleshoot cutting equipment correctly
- Troubleshoot common issues independently
- Routinely perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is performing at optimal levels
- Assist, train and share your knowledge with other members of the Production Team when required
- Assist with research and development initiatives where required
- Follow all safety precautions and measures while operating equipment

**This position will also entail the following if needed and as assigned;**
- Graphics trimming
- Weeding
- Pre
- masking
- Packaging

**Qualifications**

This position requires a self-motivated and reliable individual with the ability to quickly take control of the required responsibilities. The individual must be detail oriented and a quick learner who is interested in the technical aspects of machinery.
- **A minimum of 2 years or more working in a digital print environment**
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to stand long duration of time (8-to-10-hour shifts; excluding designated break times)
- Previous experience with digital cutting technology machinery is an asset
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledge of any print Digital cutting Front End software
- Knowledgeable with industry terminology
- Understanding of graphics
- Familiar with all related print equipment
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written in English)
- Active listening skills
- Excellent time management skills with high attention to detail
- Willing to work overtime when needed
- Flexible and quality driven
- Self-motivated
- Problem solving
- Quick learner
- Able to work in a team-oriented environment
- Authorized to live and work in Canada

Team player with the ability to work with different levels and positions within the organization from the President to the shop floor.
- Assertiveness demonstrating confidence when communicating with business owners.
- Excellent communicator who is well spoken and demonstrates effective listening, probing and questioning skills.

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
