**Capital/Financial Analyst**

**Position Hours**:1.0 FTE/35.0 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, plus overtime as required
**Effective Date**:Immediately to August 3, 2025
**Rate of Pay**:$67,136 to $84,190 commensurate with education, skills and experience.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Capital/Financial Analyst supports the Education Centre, capital department, and Supervisor of Finance in the generation, allocation and reporting of funds, and development and maintenance of accurate financial information for effective fiscal planning and reporting, in accordance with professional and Board requirements, enabling the achievement of Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board’s vision and mission.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- University/College degree in business, finance or accounting, plus 5 years’ experience in an accounting, financial, budgeting or related function. Experience in the education sector or government funded portfolio environment is preferred.
- Proven experience in dealing constructively with internal and external stakeholders and various business partners which enable effective service delivery
- Understanding of complex finance and budgeting requirements and proven ability to relay that understanding to others in the organization in order to meet strategic goals
- Experience dealing with the recording, analyzing and reporting of capital assets
- Contributes to the preparation of annual financial reports, including experience with EFIS reporting system
- Experience with class registers, PowerSchool and reporting an asset
- Analyses complex, and often confidential, reports, capital and accounting documents, continuing education register requirements, and contributes employee group costing for annual budget/forecast.
- Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks to deadlines and under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; as well as written and oral communication skills.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent computer skills using Microsoft Word and Google platform. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel and functions required.
- Knowledge of SDS Financial Software is an asset.
- Strong collaboration skills, capable of working in an interdisciplinary team.
- Solid track-record, demonstrating personal leadership and initiative with respect to job duties and responsibilities.
