We are currently seeking a dedicated Yard Inspector to join our Ferrous Department and contribute to our mission of responsible metal recycling. The Yard Inspector will play a critical role in overseeing the inspection and quality control processes. This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of ferrous metals, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**What you're responsible for**:

- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
- Identify and segregate non-conforming materials, such as contaminants or prohibited items, and take appropriate corrective actions
- Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate the movement and storage of ferrous materials within the yard
- Communicate and report any deviations from quality standards, safety concerns, or operational issues to the supervisor or appropriate personnel
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform accurate and precise inspections
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Familiarity with relevant tools and equipment used for measurements and inspection, such as scales, callipers, magnet testers, etc
- Proficiency in using phones to take pictures and document materials
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
