Postdoctoral Fellowship, Mrna-encoded Bispecific

Bispecific antibody therapeutics have been hailed as a major breakthrough in cancer therapy and have increased survival rates for many forms of difficult-to-treat cancers. Nevertheless, the common challenges for all biologics are manufacturing, product stability and cost, limiting their use for all patients.
- and tri-specific immune cell engagers using an mRNA-lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery strategy. This project offers a unique opportunity to work with both NRC scientists and collaborate with clinicians at OICR and BC Cancer.
**Education**:
Ph.D in Molecular and Cellular Biology, Immunology, or related field.

**Experience**:
- Significant knowledge in antibody engineering, phage display and protein expression and/or cancer immunology.
- Experience working with antibody libraries, antibody isolation, and antibody expression in both prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems.
- Experience working with immune cell lines and/or primary immune cell populations.
- Experience with flow cytometry and/or other cellular immune assays.
**Asset**:
- Experience working with mRNA production technologies and mRNA-LNP encapsulation.
- Experience working with syngeneic and/or xenograft murine cancer models.
**Language Requirements**:
English

**Who is eligible?**:
- Fellowships will be for two years contingent on satisfactory progress achieved during the first year.
- Fellows will work in a lab under the direct supervision of an NRC researcher.

**Compensation**:
The intent of this hiring action is to staff through the Postdoctoral Fellowships Program at the AsRO level, which is an early-career level position with a salary range of $74,230 to $103,093.
