**Job Summary**
- The Science, Information Technology, Engineering (SITE) Co-operative Education program at Dalhousie University is responsible for securing and managing quality work term opportunities for over 1,500 students annually in 29 Co-op and Master’s level programs across four faculties and a college. (Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Architecture and Planning. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Co-op Support Specialist will provide administrative and program support for students enrolled and progressing through the SITE Co-op program. The primary function of the position is to support eligible and enrolled Co-op students by tracking student progress and work term monitoring.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide front line support to students on work term by responding to inquiries and requests for support, referring to Student Development Coordinators when necessary.
- Inform and advise potential, new and existing students on admission and eligibility requirements for Co-op and internship programs
- Track students’ progress in programs, ensuring students have maintained eligibility to continue on to their next scheduled work term.
- Coordinate, set up and maintain on-line Co-op courses in Bright-space, ensuring accuracy and usability for students, faculty and staff.
- Assist the Operations team with the awareness and enforcement of program policies, procedures and working rules referring to the Co-op Rules and Regulations Manual and Standard Procedures Manual as needed.
- Process Co-op program fees and related transactions or adjustments.

**Note**
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

**Required Qualifications**
- Business/Office Administration diploma with one to three years’ related work experience (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Proficiency in Office 365, SharePoint and on-line databases.
- Excellent communication skills, time management, customer service, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

**Assets**
- Familiarity with Dal Online, Banner and BrightSpace.
- Experience working in a Co-operative Education or WIL program(s),
- Experience working in a/with University.
