Shipping Coordinator and Order Entry

We are seeking an experienced individual to be an integral part of our team as a Shipping Coordinator at one of our facilities located in Brampton, Ontario. If you have successful experience and a driven mentality, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
**Overview**:
As a key member of the MacMillan Supply Chain Group team, the Shipping Coordinator is responsible for performing daily inbound and outbound shipping functions by:
a) Ensuring that inbound and outbound shipments meet customer and company standards;
b) Verifying that quantities being shipped and received are accurate and that all related paperwork for these items are filed correctly; and
**Assigned Duties & Responsibilities**:
**SHIPPING**
- Prepares paperwork and assembles orders for shipment.
- Ensures all order shipping is completed daily.
- Provides detailed documentation and explanations for incomplete order shipping.
- Works with carrier companies to schedule trucks.
- Maximizes load densities and efficiencies.
**RECEIVING**
- Oversees the receiving of containers in 09 including the paperwork required for the ForkLift Operator to receive the product.
- Verifies receipts and orders for accuracy and correct counts. Identifies and documents damages correctly.
- Updates all reports necessary to track receiving metrics.
- Schedules receiving appointents and updates appropriate forms.
- Completes the IB report daily.
**STANDARDS and PROCEDURES**
- Updates WMS with all transactions and meets with Team Leaders daily to confirm accuracy and common understanding.
- Reports discrepancies as necessary.
- Provides shift summaries to Senior Manager, Operations and other team members as required.
- Ensures containers are empty at the end of each shift.
- Completes all Logs (09 and Exception) are completed prior to end of each shift.
- Assists and supports team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
- Updates Team Leaders on issues or concerns.
- Participates in process improvement by communicating to Team Leads or Senior Manager, Operations.
- Supports and maintains company quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies and practices.
- Wears PPE at all times and adheres to dress code policies (e.g. CSA certified safety boots, no hoodies or headphones permitted on warehouse floor).
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.

**Education & Demonstrated Experience**:
- 1-3 years experience in logistics, warehousing, distributiion
- High School Diploma required, education or certification in logistices or supply chain management considered an asset
- Previous Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience required
- Previous warehouse and logistics experience required
- Forklift certification from a recognized certification company
